Although the waves are in good shape and with size these days, the wet and cold feet that takes a day to warm up after a dawn patrol session reminds me of more comfortable days in the summer on small waves and warmer water...

i understand those feelings of saudade!
im standing in the gardenshed at about -2 degrees celsius, trying to figure out how the artform of shaping a surfboard out of a big block of foam and wood works, while my fingers get blue and red. then i dig myself out of the snow to get to my car again. hmm california? i guess theres a reason why everything`s happening there, the weather is simply better. wish you some sunshine.
